Our Story

Sephora rocked the beauty industry with our debut in Paris in the 1970s, with products brought out from behind counters and beauty advisors offering advice, ideas and space to experiment. In 1997, Sephora joined the luxury group LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy), and a year later expanded into North America.

Sephora Canada, launched with our first location in Toronto in 2004, creates strategies built in Canada for the Canadian consumer. While we benefit from the backing of a huge global brand, our smaller size allows us to take a more entrepreneurial approach and we’ve become a leading beauty destination in Canada.

With more than 80 Sephora stores across Canada, more than 2,000 in 31 countries around the world, an intuitive mobile app and online shopping, we offer our clients multiple ways to explore their beauty with Sephora.
