CDI - IT Domain Manager - Merchandising (W/M)

Within the IS Department and under the responsibility of the “Employee Platforms IS Solution Manager”, your main objective will be to manage the IT Merchandising Domain.  Your team consists of 3 internal project managers and more than 10 external consultants.


The projects delivered by the domain will support SEPHORA’s digital transformation in an international omnichannel context.

In particular, the Merchandising Domain implements IT solutions to cover the needs of the offer & operational marketing department. This includes solutions related to:

  • Management of the omnichannel products referential (GDSN Portal, PIM, SAP product Master Data, PLM)
  • Management of the stores referential
  • Quality & regulatory
  • Management & optimization of assortment & merchandising
  • Brand performance analysis
  • Operational marketing (Trade marketing, Animation, Press…)

  • Lead and facilitate the Merchandising domain
    • Establish, maintain and deliver the project roadmap
    • Manage internal/external resources (resource planning)
    • Establish and monitor the project budget (CAPEX) and operating budget (OPEX) of the domain
    • Support and develop the teams of the domain (development plan, training, definition of the objectives)
  • Lead or delegate to your team the projects of the domain
    • Lead the implementation and execution of projects (scope definition, governance, deliverables, action plans follow-up)
    • Provide the resources necessary for the success of projects
  • Preferred IT point of contact for the offer & marketing department
    • Lead Offer/IT committees
    • Support the business in projects of transformation
  • Domain/Solutions
    • Validate the solutions and technical enhancements implemented in the domain
    • Contribute to the definition of the applicative architecture of our solutions, their integration into the Sephora eco-system and their realization
    • Ensure technology watch and look for new solutions to meet user needs
  • Lead external resources and suppliers involved in project implementation
    • Lead in particular some suppliers (Steering Co, continuous improvement plan, anticipation of resources, etc)
  • Support/Maintenance
    • Ensure knowledge transfer of project to AMS and operations teams
    • Provide L4 support (expertise) for applications of the domain



We would love to hear from you if you have… you are…


  • A master’s degree from an engineering or business school or university
  • 10/15 years of experience in a consulting company or an IT Department – domain offer/merchandising – in a company in the retail sector as an IT domain manager
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Project Management around the solutions of the product offer
  • The knowledge of product life cycle management software (PLM/PIM/MDM) and/or performance of assortments and merchandising is a prerequisite
  • Experience in IS architecture is greatly appreciated and functional mastery of SAP MM module is a plus
  • Organized, able to manage multiple activities, agile with a strong analytical sense and force of proposal
  • Fluent in english
