The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented District Manager for NSW to lead and inspire a team of Store Managers. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing client services and experience, driving sales performance, fostering people development, optimizing merchandising, and ensuring seamless operational functions across your designated district. Your ultimate goal will be to consistently deliver on key store performance indicators (KPIs) and maximize profitability through effective payroll management and asset protection.
Collaborating closely with the field operations team, you will cultivate a culture of engagement, innovation, and motivation throughout the store network. Additionally, you will partner with the support office team to champion company initiatives and ensure their successful implementation across your district.

Driving Business Results
- Achieving top-line business KPIs for your district, including Sales, Conversion rates, and Average Dollar per transaction.
- Ensuring optimal staffing levels through meticulous roster management, while rigorously adhering to payroll budget goals.
- Monitoring Daily, Weekly, and Monthly performance results, providing clear and concise communication to the broader team.
- Completing comprehensive weekly and monthly reporting.
- Identifying and implementing value-added activities that enhance individual KPIs and promote cross-selling opportunities.
- Issuing and analyzing monthly reports (e.g., Match-to-traffic, units per worked hour) to provide strategic recommendations that align staffing with customer traffic.
- Upholding and monitoring exceptional service standards across all stores to ensure high customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Attaining store profitability targets by meeting sales objectives and diligently controlling store operating expenses.
- Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key field partners to effectively meet your store network's needs and maximize sales and profitability.
Operational Excellence
- Ensuring the operational effectiveness of all functions within the store environment.
- Strictly adhering to and enforcing all Sephora policies and procedures throughout the store network.
- Leading the training and on-boarding processes for new Store Managers.
- Partnering with Inventory Control Leads and Store Managers to maintain a robust inventory position across all stores.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure in-store activations and events successfully achieve sales objectives.
- Working closely with the store projects team on new store openings.
HR and People Development
- Fostering an empowering environment that provides continuous development opportunities at all levels of the retail team.
- Directly coaching and developing Store Managers to achieve their full potential.
- Partnering with field executives and their managers to enhance the development of the field team in their respective roles.
- Conducting comprehensive performance reviews for all direct reports, implementing performance plans as and when required.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all store-level HR issues.
- Regularly reviewing and analyzing store headcount to ensure optimal team size and structure across all locations.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous senior state manager experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of multi-site retail management experience (beauty or fashion preferable but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a face paced dynamic environment
- Places client satisfaction at the core of any decision-making process
- Can demonstrate strategic thinking while being hands on and lead by example
