Job Description

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Executive plays a key role in deploying, managing, and embedding training programs, making sure that the retail staff have the knowledge and skills to contribute to the business goals of the organisation. They will collaborate with different stakeholders to identify training needs and evaluate training effectiveness to ensure business success.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Training and Artistry

  • Deploy, deliver, and embed training programs ranging from product and category knowledge, artistry skills, client service, and selling skills training to new hire orientation
  • Design and develop workshops to support new launches for in-house brand
  • Ensures Sephora DNA and The Sephora Experience live in all training initiatives
  • Upkeep and adopt changes to the training program and course materials
  • Ensure the training needs are met and in line with business plan and strategy
  • Develop Sephora’s artistry career pathways in line with business priorities
  • Stay abreast of external past, current, and future artistry trends, along with internal product and category training.
  • Support and follow up classroom training and conduct regular skill assessments to determine training effectiveness ensuring learning outcomes have been successfully embedded
  • Identify measures to improve training efficiencies in the classroom and store environment
  • Support, coach, and develop Sephora Collection Team Captains and Specialist roles to achieve business priorities.

 

Training Administrative, Coordinating & Organizing

  • Administer and maintain Sephora’s Learning Management System
  • Plan and coordinate Sephora offsite training and workshops
  • Plan and communicate training schedule
  • Liaise with the Retail team and brand partners on the training schedule
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with the Retail team
  • Administer training, reports, records and claims

Skills and Competencies

 

Core Competency

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience within the training function, with Retail Beauty exposure, preferably in skin care and beauty
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Able to adapt training methods to various learning styles and preferences

 

Technical Competency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Basic knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies
  • Ability to analyse training evaluation metrics for continuous improvement

  • Team player who can collaborate with the team and can work with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented, well-organised, solution-focused
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different stakeholders
