Your role at Sephora:
Sephora is looking for a Senior Analyst on the Marketing Analytics Team!  Come join a data-driven, results-oriented team at one of the most innovative e-commerce companies in the country.  The Marketing Analytics team drives strategy by synthesizing performance metrics into actionable insights across multiple marketing channels including: Email, Paid Search, Natural Search, Display, Affiliates, Social, Direct Mail, and any other marketing efforts.  The Senior Analyst will help provide analytics and insights to drive strategy for Sephora's marketing programs, working closely with the Senior Manager of Marketing Analytics, to optimize each channel's performance.  This role is highly visible across internal marketing partners and charged with identifying areas of opportunity to drive revenue and instilling data-driven best practices across the company. In addition, you will: 

  • Apply CRM, e-commerce, and multi-channel marketing analytics experience to transform business questions into actionable analysis and strategic insights & innovate
  • Run post analysis to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs / initiatives and tests
  • Run deep-dive analysis & answer ad-hoc business questions to drive marketing strategies, create insight, or troubleshoot performance issues
  • Partner with internal groups (Digital Marketing, CRM, Loyalty, Product) to strategically use customer data to grow our business
  • Develop, publish, and present executive reporting and dashboards

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in an analytical role
  • High sense of integrity and respect for others along with high energy and positive attitude
  • Exceptional hypothesis driven problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor's degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science and/or Economics)
  • E-commerce and multi-channel marketing experience preferred
  • Superb data analysis skills with ability to extract and interpret data from multiple sources
  • Comfortable performing complex analyses to generate data driven insight and recommendations
  • Proactive approach to data exploration and opportunity identification
  • CRM, Paid Media, and / or contact strategy experience a plus
  • Experience in writing code and completing data analysis in SQL / SAS / Hive / R with Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Paid Media, big data, advanced analytics and predictive modeling experience a plus
  • Experience using an enterprise-level analytics platform & martech (for example: Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Marin Software, Google Adwords, etc...)
  • Great attention to detail, with ability to dig deep into details while keeping focus on the primary business question at hand
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload without becoming overwhelmed
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way
  • Entrepreneurial orientation, with ability to thrive in an environment with rapid change
