Sephora is looking for an experienced manager to run our Channel Effectiveness team. In this role, you will manage the channel effectiveness team to help drive the business forward leading efforts to drive insights and actionable recommendations across all Media and Retention channels, such as Email, Push, Display, Affiliate, Search, Social, etc. You will also work with our partners to lead efforts with agencies to set campaign data governance and campaign analysis. You will be a key partner for proposing and driving channel analyses and provide actionable steps for Sephora to take to drive its marketing efforts forward. You will be collaborating with our business partners to ensure the right KPIs are being measured for each test. This individual should be comfortable working independently to drive initiatives and instill a data-driven approach to marketing.

 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business partners and media partners to set a learning agenda across the marketing organization to help optimize the performance of digital marketing within Sephora
  • Evangelize a data-driven marketing approach through storytelling and communicating actionable insights to business partners
  • Drive initiatives with media partners to advance targeting and measurement capabilities to align campaign objectives with Sephora’s business objectives
  • Develop reporting capabilities and tools to further help Sephora understand the performance of its marketing program
  • Lead Sephora’s acquisition efforts and retention efforts with business partners to build out best practices around driving growth and loyalty among Sephora’s clients
  • Lead, document and maintain the roadmap for all campaign reporting, measurement and audience insights in collaboration with business partners and Sephora’s business objectives
  • Manage a team within the marketing analytics helping them grow their skillsets and careers

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with 5+ years of experience in an analytical role
  • Paid Media marketing or analytics experience, either at a digital agency or client side. Programmatic and/or Paid Social experience preferred with some knowledge of Paid Search, Affiliate or Video a plus.  
  • Experience using Digital Marketing platforms such as Adwords, DoubleClick Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, Kenshoo, Doubleclick Bid Manager, etc.
  • Comfortable performing complex analyses to generate data driven insight and recommendations
  • Exceptional creative problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • SQL experience preferred; advanced Excel skills required
  • Great attention to detail, with ability to dig deep into details while keeping focus on the primary business question at hand
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to tell the story of campaign performance and to communicate complex concepts in a simple way
  • High sense of integrity and respect for others; experience working with cross functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload without becoming overwhelmed
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to thrive in an environment with rapid change
