As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store. You will oversee various operational activities, including inventory management, cash handling, compliance with company policies, and staff supervision. Your primary goal will be to maintain high operational standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and availability of products.
  • Coordinate with the store management team to conduct regular stock counts and audits.
  • Receive and process merchandise shipments, ensuring proper documentation and organization.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and maximize profitability.
  • Support in store deliveries.

Cash Handling and Loss Prevention:

  • Oversee cash management processes, including cash register operations, deposits, and change funds.
  • Train and supervise cashiers, ensuring adherence to cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with loss prevention teams to minimize theft and fraud, promoting a secure store environment.
  • Conduct cash audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Store Operations:

  • Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve processes and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other store departments to address operational issues and improve cross-functional coordination.

Staff Supervision and Training:

  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to operational staff, including cashiers and stock associates.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team development.
  • Train new employees on operational procedures, systems, and company policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and high levels of employee engagement.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by promoting a welcoming and helpful store atmosphere.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the store management team to implement customer service initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction.

New Store Opening Procedures:

  • Support the setup of the new store by participating in unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring the smooth transition of merchandise to the shop floor and stockroom.

 

What You'll Bring 

  • Previous experience in retail operations or supervisory roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and inventory.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
