Retail Training Specialist

The Opportunity

 

Reporting directly to the UK HR Director and functionally to the EME Sephora University Director, you will be accountable for the delivery of all the Retail onboarding, Brand trainings, and ongoing development training for the UK Retail business.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Planning:

  • Set local training/SU priorities, objectives, and goals according to the EME guidelines. And accurately scope out length and degree of complexity of tasks and projects.
  • Monitor and follow-up all the training and in store coaching activities and measure performance against goals. Evaluate results and present regularly KPI’s to local management and EME SU Director.

Organizing & Prioritising:

  • Organise the 360° training activities based on the needs of the store network. For the UK retail expansion, this is largely ensuring all new starters are trained on Sephora Attitude, and Brand excellence within 90 days.
  • Organise and coordinate all the training programmes including: Onboarding for BC4S AND Store Managers, Omni-Channel Client Experience modules, Axes training, 5* Animations webinars/ digital learnin, In Store coaching for top stores, alongside the HR Business Partner for retail. Organising and orchestrating for the brands training on 5* Selective and Exclusive brands in order to optimise the Brands training plan.
  • Ensure high standards of roll out of EME Training Programs: correct translation and adaptation (only where needed) of the modules provided by SU EME Team. Updating, when needed, pedagogical contents of the modules according to the EME Training guidelines.
  • Ensure that all digital pieces on our platform (TrainUp or other) are updated and easily accessible for the Store teams.

Motivating Teams:

  • Be a role model for the Sephora Culture and demonstrate the Sephora Attitude with all stake holders.
  • Empower Beauty Experts to be role models for their peers and demonstrate retail coaching with Store Managers.
  • Transmit the Sephora coaching method (Salt and Pepper & Quick Start Coaching) to Store Managers.

Managing Vision & Purpose:

  • In charge of communicating a compelling and inspiring vision of the main goals of the department.
  • Share in a compelling way the SU, and UK Training Strategy and actions behind it.
  • Animate 360° Training sessions effectively and efficiently with a strong appetite for digital innovation and new facilitation techniques such as Flashgris training, adult modern learning, and coaching facilitation.
  • Drive successfully locally the roll out of key strategic SU projects launched by the SU EME (Beauty Masters, Floor Leaders development Program, special Christmas trainings, etc.), making sure that the communication of the Sephora vision and goals results in adherence by the store network.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure continued and precise information flow Store network, which is critical as we grow, and a good comprehension of the SU training catalogue.
  • Establish a communication flow with the coordination of Training Europe in order to be updated on the new trainings and the new Sephora concepts, and report periodically to the Europe Education Team.

Developing Others:

  • Focus every day on developing people, coaching on an everyday base and providing challenging, stimulating missions and assignments in order to develop their competences.

  • Previous experience within a similar role within the beauty industry.
  • Outstanding organisational, accuracy and prioritisation skills including the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable with change and working with a high level of ambiguity.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects proactively.
