Position: Writer

 

Your role at Sephora:
As a Writer, you are responsible for the copy that supports Sephora’s marketing initiatives. Reporting to an Editorial Content Director, you will write compelling, original, on-voice copy in a variety of channels and working on a variety of projects both short-term and long-term. You’ll also work under the direction of Senior Writers and Editorial Content Directors to support and assist in larger initiatives like naming, concepting, and competitive research. Additional responsibilities include

  • Read briefs and translate marketing requests into action.
  • Form relationships with cross-functional partners on design, marketing, and merchandising teams.
  • Accept and reconcile feedback from both creative leadership and business teams.

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 1-2 years of writing experience at a brand, magazine, website, or agency.
  • Experience working within a defined brand voice.
  • Understanding of retail/ecommerce, including current industry trends.
  • Interest in beauty/fashion/lifestyle space, both retail and editorial (magazines).
  • Experience writing copy in various formats, in various channels.
  • Familiarity with social marketing platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Strong collaboration and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines. #LI-SCR
