Your role at Sephora:
This role is responsible for managing the process and tools of purchasing and delivering the branded collateral for capital projects in Merchandising. Involves extensive coordination between brands, third party vendors, and internal teams. May have multiple direct reports, Managers, Project Managers and/or Specialists, you will: 

  • Build and manage process for purchasing including communication, order grids, store trackers and cross-functional collaboration. Lead process continuous process improvements of purchasing lifecycle.
  • Lead team who executes the creation of Purchase Orders, reconciles invoices and ensures payment terms are met and good receipts are performed in Coupa.
    • Track all projects and provide close out documentation to Finance.
  • Responsible for providing financial forecasts based upon floor plans, order grids, and generated CER documents accordingly, while partnering with the Store Capital team.
    • Attend budget planning meetings to plan and hindsight for upcoming budget proposals
    • Ensure budget remains on track and within scope.
    • Escalate and problem solve with cross functionals when budget constraints occur.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, (Store Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, Brand Updates, Property Development) on capital project planning needs.
  • Manage issue management program to resolve collateral punch list items in a specified and timely manner
    • Elevate and problem solve issues from calls to Updates partners, Merchants, and other cross functional partners.
  • Participate in monthly team store visits to execute Updates.
  • On-boards new brands and cross functional teams to Sephora Merchandising Operations policies, procedures, and standards
  • Determine or influence vendor assignment by brand based on brand needs, supplier capabilities, capacities and growth plans.
  • Attend quarterly strategy and evaluation meetings with brands or vendors as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improving brand and vendor relationships (cost savings, influencing service levels) through the Vendor Scorecard program.
    • Contribute to Vendor Scorecard documents and meetings
  • Support VP in executing cross functional strategies & initiatives for the department and team
    • Retrofits/Store Planning/New Store directives
    • Merchandising Directives & strategies
  • Develops an extensive fixture knowledge for all worlds of the business, even beyond the world directly responsible for.

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Minimum 6+ years purchasing experience
  • 3+ years’ experience and knowledgeable with SAP and Coupa
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with managing and developing direct reports
  • High-level problem solving and analytical skills, working well within ambiguity and navigating a complex business
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and lead cross functionally
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The annual base salary range for this position is $147,730.00 - $165,110.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
