Senior Director, Total Rewards

  • Providing Strategic Support and Guidance on our Total Rewards Strategy. Bring strategic vision to the definition of the Sephora Compensation & Benefits policy for the Region. Evaluate current compensation structure, and philosophy; recommend appropriate compensation strategy. Create our executive compensation program and ensure we have an effective long-term incentive mechanism for retention. Partner with People Operations, Recruitment, Finance, and Leadership to understand our employees’ and the organization’s needs related to compensation and benefits.

 

  • Providing Data-Driven Recommendations. Benchmark activities across all areas of rewards to elevate our understanding of our compensation competitiveness and evolve it over time to meet the changing landscape of our total rewards. Constantly be learning about emerging market trends to identify potential opportunities and gaps.

 

  • Building, leading, developing and mentoring a talented team. You will conduct a full assessment of our total rewards function, inclusive of structure, talent, culture, process, and technology. Identify needs, growth areas, and pain points – make recommendations and define our Total Rewards strategy and goals.

 

  • Help us Rethink our Benefits Program. Partner with CPO, benefits brokers, and other business leaders to evaluate our existing benefits programs and help make recommendations that will matter most to our 13,000+ employees in the U.S.  Lead the selection and management of all vendors, brokers, and administrative partners. Actively engage with our Benefits Committee members on all pre/post meetings and follow-up action items.

 

  • Create a Compelling Communications Strategy. Create the employee messaging that will help our workforce understand and utilize their total rewards. Broadcast educational pieces and programs around total rewards. accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate HR Business Partners, managers and executives on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretations, and job evaluations.

 

  • Maximize our Existing HR Systems. Identify functionality and business rules for the architecture of our compensation module in Success Factors.

  • You have previous HR leadership experience, ideally in an environment with a workforce comprised of different employee populations (retail/client-facing, distribution centers/warehouses, corporate employees).
  • You have 10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits; including equity design, planning, administration & executive compensation required.
  • You have worked in a fast-paced matrixed global company.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams.
  • You’re a people person who can build relationships across the business, at all levels
  • You’re analytical, organized, and thrive working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • You’re excited about driving operational change by sharing insights and influencing others

Reporting directly to our Chief People Officer, you’ll have a leadership role on the HR Leadership team.
