Your role at Sephora:
As a Merchant for .com, you will be responsible for driving the online sales for the brands and the category you oversee. Reporting to the Director of Merchandising for .com, you will:

  • Drive dotcom growth strategy for a select group of brands and department goals and objectives.
  • Establish and manage brand relationships and partner with merchant team on revenue driving opportunities, ideas and strategy.
  • Develop overall strategy for brand growth with new brands and product introductions, strategic support of current brands and exit of underperforming brands.
  • Partner closely with the Inventory team to help forecast newness, online exclusives, limited edition & seasonal buys. As well as exit strategies.
  • Create and execute 360 digital launch plans for key products with cross-functional partners: Inventory Planning, Merchants, Marketing, Email and Site teams to drive plan beating sales volume.
  • Collaborate in marketing creative planning process and execution with merchandising, marketing and internal partners.
  • Collaborate with site team daily regarding site maintenance, functionality, and special projects.
  • Develop expertise in online merchandising and related best practices.
  • Partners with brands to ensure assets submitted enable the optimal presentation of all products (copy, video, images, refinements).
  • Develop, mentor, and train team on area of expertise as needed.
  • Stay current with trends and competition and help develop online competitive analysis as needed.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Minimum 5+ years retail merchant experience
  • Online merchandising or marketing experience strongly preferred
  • High level of initiative, able to work independently on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a constantly evolving team environment
  • Exemplary analysis and problem-solving resolution at a strategic, financial and tactical level
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work and lead cross functionally to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Very proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel
