The Opportunity:

Manager, Accounts Receivables

 

Your role at Sephora... As our Manager for accounts receivables, you will supervise all sales reconciliations, monitor the collection of outstanding receivables, and build reporting to support strategic decisions as well as create monitoring to assess the monthly performance of any marketplaces and tender types offered to our clients. The position reports to the Sr Director of Accounting and supervises one direct report as well as seven subcontractors.

 

The ideal candidateshould demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the vast data sources originating from various systems and teams. They must possess the investigative skills to navigate through this information and provide timely guidance and resolutions to the team and business partners.

 

 

  • AR Leadership: The ability to guide and mentor the AR team effectively. 
  • IT AR Project Orientation: A project management background, particularly in IT-related AR initiatives, to be able to follow on new payment enhancements.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting principles for reviewing and approving financial postings.
  • Reconciliation Expertise: The candidate must excel in reconciling data across various systems and managing high-volume transactions.
  • Process Documentation: The candidate should be adept at writing the 'As Is' processes to capture a comprehensive overview of the current AR activities. which is important for identifying areas of improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Sales reconciliations. Supervise the team performing sales reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting of sales and sales adjustments during month end. Build reports that enable Finance leadership to understand the performance of different business segments with a result driven approach.
  • Recievables aging. Provide a monthly overview on the aging of receivables and establish action plans to collect and appropriately reconcile what is due to Sephora. Collaborate with the Treasury team to address any short comings.
  • Commissions, fees and invoices. Oversee the reconciliations of actual fees and commissions with contractual commitments. Help business partners understand the performance of their initiatives.

 

We would love to hear from you if....

  • 4 years of professional experience in Accounting
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Finance
  • Problem Solving skills - ability to use analytical thoughts to exercise judgment and identify solutions
  • Advanced knowledge on Excel (including Macros/VBA)
  • Strong accounting and financial skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,435.00 - $143,545.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
