The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to join our Supply Chain/Merchandising Systems team at Sephora.

 

As the Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that power Sephora's supply chain operations. You will lead a team of talented engineers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within our supply chain ecosystem.

 

 As a Lead Engineer, you will:

  • Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of supply chain systems and applications.
  • Architect scalable and robust solutions to support Sephora's evolving supply chain needs.
  • Lead or assist on supply chain projects using a complete hands-on approach to build applications and integrations.
  • Develop microservices-based applications using Java, Kotlin, HTML/CSS/React JS, Angular JS, Node JS, REST APIs, and integrations using Kafka. Expertise in the use of databases from Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres. Troubleshooting and bug fixing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.
  • Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices, and pursuing continued learning opportunities.

 

We'd love to hear from you if you have ....

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer engineering or computer science with 8-10+ years of experience developing production deployed large-scale software web applications
  • Previous experience as a full stack Java,Angular/React/Javascript engineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of both front-end and back-end programming languages (JavaScript, HTML, Java, Python, Angular JS, Node JS, REST APIs, Spring Boot, REACT)
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud technology and able to help with migration to cloud.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel, Visio and Word

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $152,000.00 - $185,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
