Store Development designs, builds, and maintains beautiful stores in some of the most coveted real estate in North America. We bring the physical expression of our brand to life by keeping client experience at the forefront of our decision-making processes and ensuring the success of our stores by managing cost, quality, and schedule.

 

As a Project Manager, Store Construction, and reporting to the Director, Store Construction, you will be responsible for all aspects of execution of capital project improvements including, but not limited to, new locations, relocations, expansions, and remodels. This is a fast-paced, extremely detail-oriented role involving managing multiple projects concurrently with very high standards of execution.

 

In addition, you will:

 

  • Manage / oversee communication of projects by conducting weekly progress calls and ensuring timely delivery of weekly reports by GC
  • Review key lease documents in partnership with Real Estate Director
  • Review and qualify General Contractor (GC) bid proposals for recommendation to award contract
  • Manage the RFI process to ensure timely submission and response from project team
  • Quickly escalate any issues that might require additional input or oversight
  • Conduct periodic site visits as necessary (5+ per project) in order to successfully manage the project schedule, verify high quality of construction, and deliver the space to New Store Opening team
  • Collaborate with all key project stakeholders in Store Development (Real Estate, Store Design, Fixture Purchasing, IT, Loss Prevention, Maintenance and Operations)
  • Collaborate with Fixture Purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of OSM in alignment with project schedule
  • Facilitate the timely completion of closeout package submission from the GC, and provide the required documents to the Lease Compliance team
  • Review all GC Change Orders and provide recommendation of approval to Director of Construction
  • Ensure all punchlist items are completed by the GC in a timely way
  • Perform GC evaluation and provide feedback as necessary to ensure consistently high performance

We’re Excited About You If You Have

 

  • 7-10 years of Construction Management experience, preferably within the Specialty Retail industry
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and set priorities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% of time, including internationally (Canada)
  • Understanding of key lease documents and Landlord Work Letter exhibits
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and a demonstrated understanding of computer systems and software (Word, Excel, Smartsheet)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to work with passion, excitement, and sense of urgency
  • Highly organized and efficient with time management

The annual base salary range for this position is $107,863.00 - $143,545.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
