Your role at Sephora:

As an Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for managing Enterprise-wide solutions to include specific expertise in Digital, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing and Cloud solutions.   Reporting to the Senior Director, Technology you will:

  • Lead the Architecture and Design of business and tech initiatives across different systems and applications - Ecommerce (Browse, Cart, Checkout), Desktop Web, Mobile Web, iOS, Android, OMS, Inventory, Digital Marketing and retail systems.
  • Lead vendor selection for the new technologies, tools and capabilities. Define selection criteria, RFI, RFP, RFQ and make relevant vendor and product choices
  • As the Digital, E-Commerce SME, spearhead all facets of Sephora Digital Initiatives
  • Drive innovation in the Digital and E-Commerce space (Cloud Adoption, Microservices, Omni-Channel initiatives, Personalization, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence)

We’re excited about you if you have/are:

  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience with existing Digital, E-Commerce and Web technologies and tools (E-Commerce Platforms, Digital Marketing Tools, Order Management Systems)
  • AI/Machine Learning experience
  • Retail experience
  • Good knowledge on
    • Foundational understanding of how internet and web works
    • object oriented programing
    • RDBMS and modern NoSQL database designs and querying languages
    • Microservices and REST services
    • Expertise in the E-Commerce, Digital domains and related technologies
    • Good knowledge/Exposure on Digital Marketing tools and technologies
  • Extensive experience in supporting large scale E-Commerce and Digital presence
  • Highly experienced in architecting modern architectures based on Cloud and Microservices
  • Experience with next generation technologies to build digital experiences and capabilities is desired (AI, ML)
  • Experience with one or more public clouds MS Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Experience with modern microservices architecture using Service Mesh, API Gateways, Native Cloud Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Jack of All trades (Ability to have engaging and thoughtful discussions with large cross functional teams like Engineering, DevOps, Database, Networking, Infrastructure, Data, EDW as well as ability to deep dive into the specifics of a solution and ability to challenge and ask the right questions)
  • Being obsessed with creating quality business and user facing solutions and living for face to face interactions with them to develop goals, strategies, and technology solutions.
  • Seeking opportunities to leverage existing and new technologies to create Sephora’s technological future.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect
  • 15+ years of experience with Digital and E-Commerce space (E-Commerce, Web Architecture, Order Management Systems, Loyalty, Digital Marketing)
