The Opportunity:
The Retail PMO (Project Management Office) team at Sephora supports the execution of key retail initiatives by ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope and budget. The team drives cross-functional alignment, in collaboration with internal leadership, by managing the project intake and approval processes, aligning priorities, assessing risks and providing strategic guidance. They enhance project management standards, optimize workflows and introduces new technologies to streamline processes in order to improve efficiency across the department. The PMO also maintains project management systems and supports executive messaging through reporting and communications.
As a Senior Project Manager, Retail, you will manage a portfolio of Sephora’s large and extra-large retail projects. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PMO, you will be responsible for planning, oversight, and documentation of all aspects of projects, ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. Ideal candidates for this role have a background in project portfolio management, approach their work with a continuous improvement mindset, and are excited about mentoring their peers.
- Independently lead high-impact projects from initiation through completion, applying portfolio and project management tools to align strategy and operations, define scope and roles, surface interdependencies, and drive efficient, on-time, and on-budget delivery
- Create and manage project plans, trackers, and dashboards to monitor milestones and keep stakeholders informed, while driving projects to completion through efficient processes, proactive risk and issue management, and strong problem-solving—delivering on time, within scope, and on budget
- Facilitate project meetings and brainstorming sessions, drive accountability for milestones, and lead solution-focused discussions to resolve issues and align teams
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and conflicts, offering timely, objective mitigation strategies and sound decision-making under pressure
- Own and optimize individual area of responsibility, and drive innovation and improvement in their processes, systems, and tools
- Maintain and update PMO systems, tools, and related processes to support effective project and portfolio management
- Develop effective partnerships with internal leadership and cross-functional teams
- Support cross-functional optimizations for department processes and timelines

- 3-5 years demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage a diverse portfolio of complex, high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with business objective and strategic goals
- 5+ years skilled at connecting strategic and operational dots to streamline execution, with a proven ability to manage complex projects while balancing creativity and precision
- 5+ year strong facilitation skills with executives and project teams, using problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities to guide discussions toward solutions and alignment
- 5+ year skilled at building strong relationships, fostering collaboration, and effectively communicating needs and challenges through clear and impactful written and verbal communication
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP ) a plus but not required
The annual base salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $128,250.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
