The Opportunity:

The Manager of Personalization & CRM Analytics is responsible for advancing Sephora's client-centric strategies. You'll be part of the Personalization Data Science and Analytics team and as thought leader to answer complex business questions by analyzing customer and digital data, leading scenario forecasting, and planning tests. As a central player in an agile team, this role manages the end-to-end A/B testing process across email, mobile, site, and digital media to optimize personalization and CRM. This requires strong cross-functional leadership and partnership to engage clients and drive high-value behaviors.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Discovery Analytics 
Proactively strategize and plan roadmap of new and exciting areas of analytical discovery which will inform strategic plans and vision for CRM Programs & Personalization testing. Work closely with channel leads & our strategy team to identify areas of focus for the year and strategize how to best deep dive into our data to both help prove out their ideas, and identify additional opportunity areas. 
 
Results Measurement & Insights 
Manage measurement results of Personalization/CRM A/B tests within SCRUM. Own regular reporting and testing of our CRM Programs & related campaigns and present all results to relevant stakeholders with clear & concise communication while also providing own lens of what is working/ what is not and next steps.
 
Campaign Sizing, Test Design & Coordination
Ensure test designs of all pilots align with stakeholders’ goals and ensure significant reads when results are measured. Work with channel leads & marketing orchestration team to ensure tests & campaigns are setup, built and executed accurately. Lead QA on data issues when they arise to find effective and timely fixes to avoid extended periods of campaign errors.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4-6+ Years of experience in B2C marketing and/or client analytics
  • 4+ Years experience writing complex queries on large databases
  • 4+ Years experience with A/B testing setup, execution and measurement
  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytics or other related field preferred
 
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to review large amounts of data and provide strategic and actionable inferences and recommendations based on patterns and trends 
  • Fluency in core analytics toolkit:  
    • Advanced SQL  (Databricks)
    • Knowledge of Statistical methodologies relating to A/B and multi-variate Testing 
    • Data visualization in Tableau 
    • R/Python a plus 
    • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills 
  • Experience with managing direct reports is preferred 
  • Ability to balance deep analytical rigor with business reality, marketing activation capabilities and timelines to build solutions that are both practical and reliable 
  • Ability to hear stakeholders' needs and business trends and deep dive into newly explored areas of analytics to eventually inform strategic decisioning
  • Understanding of statistical modeling and quantitative analysis techniques  
  • Experience with A/B testing and BI tools (e.g. APT Test & Learn, Adobe Target, Tableau)  
  • Excellent attention to detail, written and oral communication skills 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain relationships with business partners at all levels 
  • Flexible and adaptive, enjoys an ever-changing, dynamic work environment 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity 
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and handle multiple projects 
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to accept feedback

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,265.00 - $154,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
