The Opportunity:

As our Training Manager, DC, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all training programs at assigned regional distribution center(s). You will be accountable for the identification of training needs and personnel, assessment of training effectiveness, and support for adherence to regulatory training and compliance. While this position does not have direct reports, you will work collaboratively with DC Operations Leaders to manage multiple indirect non-exempt reports. You will provide counsel, direction, evaluation, facilitation, and content creation, in partnership with DC Operations Leadership within their assigned regional DC(s). You will need to possess agility and adaptability to effectively operate within multiple systems, support multiple locations, and multiple levels, from non-exempt to our Vice President level roles. 

 

In addition, you will partner with Operational Leadership to accomplish the following:

  • Engage and inspire our warehouse teams by creating, facilitating, and supporting training for all Sephora and temporary hourly associates – including New Hire Orientation, safety, OSHA, HazMat, and DOT training requirements.
  • Collaborate with local leadership and HR teams to create training plans and policies that support operational needs, adherence to standing operation procedures (SOPs) that will help to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Identifies and implements metrics to measure the effectiveness and departmental impact of training.
  • Certify floor trainers, and assists in evaluation and provides improvement recommendations for their work performance
  • Actively mentor and develop Training Coordinators.
  • Work with Accessibility Program Trainers and Temp Agency Trainers to ensure alignment of training process.
  • Assist with developing and/or revising, training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication and be comfortable speaking/facilitating in front groups of all sizes
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn processes and software within a distribution environment (MS Office, Articulate 360/Storyline, Training Check, Video Creation and editing)
  • Ability to utilize technology to deliver impactful virtual training.
  • Provide support, development, facilitation, and content creation for individual DCs, as well as possible DC network requirements.
  • Self-motivator who can coach and mentor performance of others and is comfortable spending substantial time on DC floor, interacting with DC non-exempt associates.
  • Works with limited supervision and demonstrates agility managing own time effectively: maintains control over all current projects/responsibilities, to include using discretion in exercising work assignments and handling sensitive/confidential information.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional adult classroom facilitation or similar field preferred.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a distribution center, manufacturing, or warehousing industry preferred.
  • Ability to work across operational shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to support multiple locations and travel overnight for up to 50% of the time.

Working Conditions:

  • Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments.

The annual base salary range for this position is $71,145.00 - $79,515.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
