JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Color Category & Brand Education is responsible for serving as the primary education contact for select brand partners and merchants, as well as creating and curating all content related to the training and development of color product knowledge and categories within the organization. The ideal candidate is a product junkie and is passionate about creating best in class learning that motivates and inspires cast and drives selling behaviors, in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Serve as subject matter expert and provide the point of view on color product and categories to be used in all aspects of content, education materials, tips/techniques, videos, and digital content
  2. Create and curate personalized and relevant content to develop color product and category knowledge that support the client experience
  3. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with color brands and merchants
  4. Partner with brands on the creation of training and education content/materials
  5. Stay connected to industry trends, philosophies, and training practices within retail, beauty, and social spaces
  6. Craft and share the vision and learning goals for all Sephora created content within the category
  7. Identify program and skill gaps to determine training needed to support client services, color categories, and trends across all expertise and knowledge levels
  8. Collaborate with department partners to drive the overall category strategies and organizational initiatives
  9. Communicate regularly with stakeholders proposing recommendations and innovative learning solutions to solve organization needs as related to color and provide program content updates accordingly
  10. Partner with support teams on instructional design, production, and delivery of innovative curriculums while identifying and communicating any risks to success of color product and category education
  11. Partner with corporate and field-based partners to understand the effectiveness of content within delivered training programs and make any adjustments as needed to support the objectives
  12. Perform as on-camera spokesperson in Sephora-created videos, as needed
  13. Manage teams and/or contractors to help with training content creation, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective educational programming
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail or beauty education with ability to connect product and category knowledge to the retail environment
  • Fundamental artistry experience with ability to identify level of artistry expertise in others
  • Proven ability to manage projects and partner with various levels in the organization
  1. High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks with ability to manage workload with shifting priorities
  2. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office and preferred experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Box, etc.)
  3. Ability to travel as required
  4. Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is preferred or equivalent experience
