Your role at Sephora:
As a Senior WMS Production Engineer reporting to the Manager, Systems Engineering, WMS & DC Systems you will be responsible to support our DC network to identify, resolve, and provide root cause resolution to production systems/Issues, to include development and testing. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, Warehouse Systems, you will utilize a thorough knowledge of the local DC operational to system processes to ensure DC Operations is educated as needed to prevent recurring issues.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage extensive Logistics Operational Process knowledge, JDA WMS systems knowledge, and advanced Development and Troubleshooting skills to resolve complex Logistics business incidents and quickly restore service when assigned high priority incidents. From learnings, take proactive actions to address repeat issues.
- Leverage extensive Logistics end-to-end Operational Process knowledge and automated systems knowledge (Reddwerks WES, Dematic WCS, ProShip Parcel Shipping) to quickly resolve complex Logistics business incidents involving integration with JDA WMS.
- Utilize C, Java, C++, and SQL to provide mitigation of critical system issues to restore critical business functionality, and alerting of reoccurrence.
- Perform detailed analysis of Logistics business opportunities to design and implement quality and innovative technical solutions, both strategic and tactical.
- Work with Product and Development teams to understand new business requirements, and ensure designed solutions support established Operational processes and initiatives – provide constructive feedback as required.
- Leverage expertise to mentor other Engineers on the Logistics Support Team on best methods to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve both system and technical infrastructure issues.
- Offer expertise to actively participate in Development and Logistics Support Teams code reviews and test solutions to ensure they meet best practice specifications.
We're excited about you if you have:
- 5+ years' experience in Distribution Center Systems Engineering Support experience with increasing technical and functional responsibilities required; Experience in Supply Chain, Implementing and supporting JDA/BY WMS including a successful history of launching new DC’s and migrating/upgrading to newer WMS versions
- 5+ years technical experience in JDA WMS application development & support of Warehouse Management System (JDA v8.2)
- 5+ years extensive knowledge of DC Operational processes and experience with various WMS and LMS systems, must have worked on integrating JDA WMS to other systems such as OMS, TMS, and WCS/WES
- Expert level experience with JDA/BY WMS, MOCA, PL/SQL, and Oracle SQL
- Firsthand experience with common programming languages such as JAVA, C#, C++, PL/SQL
- Experience with Distribution Center automation such as Robotic Picking, Sortation, Pick/Put Lights is very much desired
- Experience with Parcel Shipping software (ideally experience with ProShip software), including knowledge of carrier rate-shopping concepts
- Strong communication skills, exceptional customer service orientation, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency exhibiting task and time management skills, oral and written communication skills, technical expertise, and a dedication to resolve problems effectively and efficiently while minimizing disruptions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dotcom and Retail DC operational practices and procedures, and a strong understanding of Supply Chain and WMS concepts
- Self-motivated, proactive, independent and responsive; requires little supervisory attention
The annual base salary range for this position is $135,810.00 - $150,900.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
