The Opportunity:

Senior Manager- Logistics Systems, Planning and Engineering 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide network support to Sephora Logistics with regards to system and software execution across the network (5 DC’s).  This role will be responsible for developing, documenting (FSD) and implementing the roadmap for Logistic systems to include WMS, WES, robotics software and reporting software tools.  This role will also own System administration and KPI reporting across the Logistics network.  The role will report into the Director of Engineering.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assumes project management responsibilities for all network Logistic systems and software installs
  • Optimize current software processes within the distribution-order fulfillment centers through the development and implementation of improved enhancements and system updates.
  • Develops solutions to operational issues and provides recommendations to improve operations with software enhancements.
  • Develop cost benefit analyses and financial models to support the DC’s requirements, designs, and alternative selections to existing systems.
  • Act as the primary Logistics contact with IT to ensure Sprint roll-outs are documented (SOP’s), demonstrated and implemented.
  • Hold weekly network continuous improvement meetings with DC operations and IT to ensure network alignment on process and system knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards and the productivity monitoring for all the DC’s.
  • Ensure KPI reporting is maintained on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to Logistics network
  • Assist with capital improvement projects, including automation and robotics to vette software and execution system, and personnel needed to complete various projects.
  • Analyzes current operating plan to determine opportunities for improving the operations process and workflow
  • Works with operations management team to implement changes in the operations to reach desired cost reduction and service improvements.
  • Conduct operations forecasting for staffing, assets, and facility need to ensure ability to meet service commitment.
  • Maintains self-development, communications, and reporting.
  • Identifies issues that require training or re-training to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Provides training to management for implementation of new procedures, processes, services, and technology to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinates with process writers to create training documents.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 or more years of related industrial engineering experience with key focus on systems and software, completing multi-variable work measurements and developing labor standards, process improvement, and network optimization projects within a distribution environment.
  • Previous experience with implementing software systems in a Logistics environment, emphasis on warehouse management, warehouse execution, and labor and reporting tools
  • Experience with top tier WMS/WES Labor Reporting Systems, MOST and Standards Pro. Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder, Manhattan or equivalent LMS
  • MS Office Suite with strong MS Excel skills, MS Access, and Visio.
  • The job will reside in one of our Distribution Centers located in Perryman, Maryland, Las Vegas, Nevada, Salt Lake City Utah, Olive Branch, MS, or Avon, Indiana.
  • The job will require 35-40% travel to various Sephora DC’s, site visits, vendor testing centers, and corporate headquarters.

The annual base salary range for this position is $156,400.00 - $174,800.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
