Project Manager, Supply Chain Transformation

Sephora SEA’s retail activity spans over 8 countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, India, Indonesia) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as Ion in Singapore and Pitt Street in Sydney. Its digital activities span over eight countries (retail countries mentioned above excluding India, plus Philippines).  

 

Sephora SEA has experienced rapid growth in the region with many recent stores and countries openings, and is working on a big Supply Chain Transformation program to sustain this growth while improving customer experience  : new demand planning tool design using AI/ML, new warehouse implementation in Malaysia, new Ecommerce Ship from store feature implementation in New Zealand, SAP migration in Korea & Thailand.     

Sephora is looking to add an experienced Transformation Lead to reinforce its capabilities and establish Sephora Supply Chain as an industry leader, and to lead the South East Asia operations. 


The Supply Chain Transformation Lead’s mission is to drive supply chain projects together with business leaders by providing structured project management methods, develop project documentation and communication. Beyond a mere coordination of tasks, the role involves providing relevant data analyses, making recommendations to support decision-making, developing process documentation and relevant monitoring tools (KPIs, scorecards) and maintaining post-mortem feedback. 
This role reports directly to the Head of Supply Chain Transformation based in Singapore.


Typical projects he / she will be managing: 
•    Strategic Projects 
-    IT: Implementation and Roll-out over the region of Sephora Asia new tools (ERP, planning) 
•    Logistics 
-    Warehousing: 3PL tenders, contract negotiation and implementation- warehouse automation. 
-    Transport: Hauliers tenders (Freight forwarders, B2B and B2C carriers) - Carrier integration 
•    Sustainability 
-    Development of Business Continuity Plans 
-    Development of a Supply Chain knowledge base (process documentation) 
-    Green logistics – Customs Certifications 

 

Given the rapid expansion of Sephora in the region and the dynamism of both retail and e-commerce busi-ness, we expect the SC Project Manager to be proactive in identifying and proposing new opportunities in ad-dition to the projects he will be assigned to.

•    Co assess and challenges requests, priorities and deadlines 
•    Participates to the project scope, budget, organization, team and resources, schedule 
•    Identifies dependencies and constraints, risks 

 

Execution & Deployment Phase 
•    Contribute to deliverables production (analyses - recommendations, project specifications, proce-dures, project Business Case, performance measurement) 
•    Coordinates workgroups, team members, third-parties, IT 
•    Prepares and coordinates UATs 
•    Follows deliveries planning and KPI’s and animate project meetings, 
•    Communicates Project status to management 

 

Project Performance evaluation 
•    Evaluates the project delivery, on time, in full, at cost 
•    Evaluates benefits on mid and long term use 
•    Performs project closing with post-mortem and hand over 

 

Documentation 
•    Creation and standardization of project processes and tools 

 

Performance objectives 
•    Provide regular update, report 
•    Anticipate & escalate issues 
•    KPI’s consistency (Time, cost, alignment with requirements) 
•    Relevance of action plans 

 

 We would love to hear from you if you have…


•    5 to 7 years of experience in Project Management in Supply Chain in industry or consulting 
•    Retail and Ecommerce experience a strong plus, otherwise FMCG preferred 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Supply Chain or Engineering 
•    Strong analytic and problem-solving skills 
•    Advanced excel capabilities required. Project Management tools and SAP experience are preferred 
•    Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal, Written Email) 
•    Strong interpersonal skills for interacting within the department as well as with other departments, partners & providers 
•    Ability to work in fast paced environment 
•    Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work 
•    Hands-on and solution-oriented 
•    Fluent in English
