The Opportunity

As a Senior Executive, Business Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting the Regional Business Controller in tracking, analyzing, and communicating commercial performance across Southeast Asia and Oceania. Your primary focus will be on sales trends and gross margin dynamics, contributing to planning, forecasting, and performance optimization initiatives across markets.

This role requires close collaboration with country finance teams, the regional and global finance organization, and cross-functional stakeholders including Category Management, Retail, Digital, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Data & BI teams. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, actionable insights that inform both strategic and operational decision-making at the regional level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Margin Reporting
    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales and gross margin reports across countries, channels, and categories.
    • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify key trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
    • Partner with country finance teams to validate inputs and ensure alignment with regional reporting standards.
  • Forecasting
    • Review, analyze, and validate daily phasing of commercial targets versus budget, ensuring alignment with recent trends, upcoming events, and commercial strategy.
    • Consolidate country budget submissions and review monthly sales and KPI phasing (traffic, conversion rate, AVB), ensuring consistency with commercial priorities.
    • Reconcile and align submissions between regional and global reporting systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Strategic Support
    • Provide ad hoc analytical support to the Regional Business Controller and regional leaders on commercial performance, sales KPIs, margin evolution, and related topics.
    • Translate findings into meaningful insights and actionable outputs for senior leadership.
    • Contribute to regional business reviews and presentations with clear, data-driven inputs.
  • Data & Reporting Process Improvement
    • Collaborate with the Data & BI team to improve data accuracy, structure, and automation of reporting tools and dashboards.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the tracking and analysis of commercial performance indicators.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in business analysis, commercial finance, FP&A, or a related role, ideally within a regional or multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of sales, margin, and key retail/commercial KPIs (e.g., traffic, conversion, average basket value, discounts).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) or SQL a plus.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with finance, commercial, and operational teams, ideally across multiple countries.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — able to turn data into insights and influence decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Here, you will find:

  • Community, in which authenticity is embraced, and the strength of our differences fuels our collective spirit.
  • Culture of empowerment, learning & growth, that offers you the tools, space and opportunity to learn, innovate and lead.
  • Work that brings fulfilment, from delighting clients every day, to inspiring our industry at large, every action makes a difference.
