Sephora SEA’s omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).
The opportunity:
Executive, Regulatory Affairs (6-Months Contract)
As Sephora’s regulatory personnel, you can get behind-the-scenes on the innovation of cosmetic products. This role will expand your regulatory world with brands’ representatives to collate regulatory documentation and to ensure product registration is on track for timely launch. You will also be responsible for communicating and providing regulatory expertise to support internal and external stakeholders.

Regional Oversight
- Overseeing the regulatory approval and product registration for cosmetics for local and regional offices with the support of local counterparts
- Liaising with the Singapore regulatory authority as well as overseas partners on regulatory affairs, including product registrations, variations to existing products, and renewals
Internal and External Liaison
- Coordinating and communicating independently with brands on the registration documents/requirements
- Informing and advising internal departments (Category Management, Marketing, Supply Chain) of any delays or roadblocks faced
- Working with external third-party Law firms/Registration Agencies, where applicable, on related functions regarding risks, best practices, and timely registration process whilst ensuring cost-effectiveness and professionalism for Sephora
- Keeping updated with any changes or new rules for local regulation Liaising with franchise markets to ensure timely government follow-ups, registration approvals, and launches on time
- Coordinating with and supporting local franchise regulatory partners
- Managing the expansion of Wellness or Health supplement categories (registration of health supplement plans) and/or investigating of necessary licenses needed to import food/health supplements as necessary
Registration Responsibilities
- Following up and pushing local regulatory personnel to complete registrations on time and communicate FDA approvals or rejections promptly, as well as facilitating and stepping in when required
- Ensuring registration renewals are activated on time
- Completing and management and filing of all documentation
- Managing the invoicing and approval process (between Agencies/Government Bodies, Brands and Finance)
We would love to hear from you if are/have…
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in related regulatory fields for ASEAN markets
- A Bachelors’ Degree/Diploma in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to communicate well and influence stakeholders to negotiate successful outcomes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel and PowerPoint
