Assistant Manager, Retail Projects
Position Title: Assistant Manager, Regional Retail Projects
Role Summary:
- Responsible to plan, manage, co-ordinate, store construction activities for both new and existing Sephora retail store across the region. (SG, MY, TH, AUS, NZ)
- Review & select consultant, contractor, vendor, supplier to ensure quality, cost efficiency and compliance with Sephora design & standards.
- Manage relations with Landlords and their technical departments. To ensure Landlord design guideline is being issued and adhere during store design implementation.
- Working closely with various internal stakeholder to ensure objectives are being met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Design
- Working closely with design team based in Shanghai for Sephora store design
- Co-ordinate with various department to ensure store layout and design is accordance with category planning & Sephora strategic goals
- Research and analyze variety of product, material, finishing, lighting and detailing to enhance the overall quality of the completed work and cost efficiency.
- Project management & documentation
- Spearhead and prepare all necessary document for tendering process on selection of contractor, consultant
- Manage, control & maintain records of all costing and budget
- Prepare and maintain construction work schedule
- Develop detail design and construction specification and standards
- Review and approve all drawing submission prior to work commencement. Ensure construction detailing, methodology meets design objective
- Oversee and review contractor progress report to ensure construction is align with schedule
- Working with country category and operation team to align store merchandise and opening schedule
- Ensure all needed insurance are in place and accordance to country, landlord requirement
- Working closely with country finance manager to ensure all invoices are consistent with commitment made under contracts and paid in a timely manner.
- Prepare project cost estimation. (CAPEX)
- Construction & Quality Control
- Working closely with consultant to ensure contractor does not deviate from design objective and detailing.
- Responsible to take over the premises from Landlord on behalf of Sephora. Ensure all non-conformance are being raise and record for rectification.
- Develop snag list upon completion review with contractor and consultant. Ensure all defects is being completed with report.
- QA/QC inspection to ensure quality is within range.
- Working closely with country operation team to oversee store maintenance and improvement
- Working closely with Regional category team and Country category team to execute and oversee new fixture roll out
Requirements:
- Excellent team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraint
- Ability to travel within the region. (At times under short notice)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence
- Strong analytical skills, Result Oriented
- Independent and responsible worker
- Good understanding of a variety of interior design material, finishing, lighting, details, etc
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Power point skills
- Ability to operate Auto cad and in depth understanding of construction drawing.
- Diploma / Degree in Architecture / Interior Design / Project management
- 5 years of project management experience in retail fit out project.
