Demand Planner

A Demand Planner is responsible for analyzing sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts that guide inventory and production planning. They collaborate with various departments, including sales and supply chain, to ensure alignment on demand strategies and business objectives. Additionally, they monitor inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize costs while meeting customer needs.

Your role at Sephora:

As a Demand Planner, you will:

• Responsible for inventory management of categories, including forecasting and buying responsibilities, ensuring in stock rates to maximize revenue while hitting turn targets.

• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts as needed to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing costs while meeting customer demand.

• Oversee SKU level exit strategies and markdowns as well as identify items to maximize promotional and marketing strategies.
• Partner with channel heads to continuously understand inventory needs, requests, opportunities, and risks within their business.
• Forecasting Demand: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to create accurate demand forecasts that guide inventory management and production planning.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 2 to 3 years retail demand planning experience
• Proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Good negotiation skills; strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in fast-paced, often-changing environment
• Advanced english level
