Sephora Malaysia is looking to recruit a Category Manager (Make Up).

 

 

You will shine here if you enjoy…

 

  • Being responsible for achieving volume and sharing targets for assigned projects by formulating strategies for Make Up category & executing the Make Up category management plans across omni-channel.

 

  • Managing a brand portfolio of one specific axis (make up):
    • Definition of an assortment: number of references and number of stores & E-Commerce platform in which the brand will be present
    • Definition of the mix product/brand: price positioning, type of emplacement (shelves or displays), merchandising, number of meter/linear
    • Definition of training’s help

 

  • Managing and scheduling the animation of the products:
    • Merchandising: make sure that merchandising is optimised, definition of the product which will be brought up according to the current beauty trend
    • Animation: negotiation about the brand’s animations. Definition of the objective and identify associate means (animator in stores, testing, street marketing)
    • E-Commerce Onsite: managing the brand page setup, web banners & product page for online product launches.
    • Stores’ training (communication about training elements to the stores, creation of reminder sheets)

 

  • Interfacing between brands, headquarter services and stores:
    • Establish strategic plan with all headquarter services (negotiations with different stakeholders from marketing, retail operation, E-commerce team & supply chain)
    • Daily management of the brand into the stores/ecom: establish good way to sell (all type of testing), daily communication (send action plan weekly), 360 launch plans.

 

  • Developing sales and brand strategy:
    • Develop tools and services to help stores to sell
    • Analyse regularly its product axis and recommendations
    • Rationalize category and associate brands based on product life cycle

  • You have excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • You have strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You are results Oriented
  • You are independent and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • You have 5 to 7 years Merchandising / Brand Management experience, ideally from the beauty/fashion industry
  • You have a keen interest in the beauty industry with a flair for trends and style
  • You have excellent command of spoken and written English
  • You have a bachelor Degree in Business/ Marketing

 

 

Reporting line:

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager Category.
