ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

Are you passionate about curating business strategies to support Sephora's store employees and leadership teams? As the Director, Retail Talent & Training you will be responsible for building key relationships with leaders to assess needs, design and develop new and existing programs, and administer and evaluate programs. Your role will help us develop a series of talent initiatives that will drive employee performance and engagement in our stores! WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Mentor and foster a work environment that embodies Sephora's values while supporting business objectives through mentoring, training, and developing a team of managers
  • Lead design, development, delivery, and evaluation of tools, resources and programs that build skills, knowledge, and behaviours of store employees and leadership
  • Evaluate efficiency of all learning solutions, measure return on investment, and monitor business impact while communicating reporting to cross-functional teams and leaders
  • Develop and use talent strategy for retail while creating and reporting on status of talent while identifying process improvements and implementing tools to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business objectives, accuracy, and language considerations are met
  • Partner with Sephora US to understand their strategy, trends or innovations in education
  • Build and improve learning tools through a needs analysis while focusing on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation strategy
  • Lead curriculum management of the Rise with Sephora Leadership Development courses
  • Handle annual budget planning with cross-functional teams and be responsible for budget management to achieve department objectives

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 10+ years of instructional design experience with the ability to use and explain instructional design process and adult learning principles
  • 5+ years of project management experience; prioritization and planning skills to achieve goals and business objectives
  • You love expressing yourself clearly and creatively and are confident in dealing with ambiguity
  • You have mastered the ability to build interpersonal relationships across cross-functional teams
  • You have sound judgment and have excellent decision-making abilities while integrating information
  • You're game for travel - up to 20% travel required
