HR Coordinator (12-Months Contract)

The HR coordinator will provide support to the HR team across all areas of HR. 


Key Tasks

  • Support HR initiatives and projects

  • Manage the HR inbox and act as the first point of contact for general HR queries

  • Assist in all HR matters as directed by the Manager, HR

  • Manage employee life cycle activities, including but not limited to, onboarding new starters, managing probationary periods and supporting offboarding activities

  • Participate in the continual development of HR programs such as culture initiatives, communication, recognition and retention initiatives 

  • Provide assistance in the review and implementation of policies and procedures

  • Assist with payroll administration

  • Generate HR related reports or data as required

  • Act as the primary contact on WHS matters, with escalations to the Manager, HR where required

  • Adhoc tasks to support the wider HR team


Reporting Line

The HR Coordinator will report to the Manager, HR


Key Competencies

  • Tertiary Qualified in Human Resource Management or related discipline desirable 

  • At least 1 year experience in an operational HR role 

  • Ability support change 

  • Intermediate - MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Working knowledge of current employment legislation 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable

  • Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines 

  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships 

  • Proven experience with seeing projects through to completion

  • Strong planning and organising skills 

  • High level of attention to detail
