Full-Time Skincare Specialist - Highpoint

The Beauty Advisor – Skincare Specialist will be responsible for providing elevated client service through delivering tailored in-store skincare product recommendations, skincare consultations and exceptional service to all clients.

As the go-to subject matter expert on skincare, the Beauty Advisor – Skincare Specialist will also play a key role in enhancing the breadth and depth of their store’s skincare expertise through facilitating training sessions and providing coaching to peers.

 

Job Responsibilities

Client Service

  • Assess clients skincare needs and/or concerns and develop personalised skincare routine through a skincare consultation
  • Deep understanding of skincare, haircare and basic makeup techniques, suggesting products that meet client needs
  • Able to close a sale with ease and add on customized product recommendations that surprise and delight clients
  • Ensure clients are informed about product details, such as ingredients and application methods
  • Facilitate in-store skincare events in partnership with leadership and brand partners
  • Comfort with digital tools and consistent usage during consultations

Training

  • Educate the team on skin needs and skin types, skin consultation best practice and product knowledge
  • Support and drive animation, marketing, education and store driven events and special projects when and where available
  • Share best practice skincare selling skills with store team members and support peers in furthering their skincare knowledge
  • Actively seek knowledge of emerging skincare trends and products and identify opportunities to embed these trends in-store

Store operations

  • Ensure store is well merchandised and maintained at all times.
  • Ensure stock fixtures and drawers are maintained to Sephora’s standards
  • Act as a cashier on specified shifts where directed by the Store Management
  • Act as a Loyalty Ambassador ensuring all customers are aware of Sephora’s Beauty Pass program and actively assist in pre-defined recruitment goal.
  • Ensure grooming standards are kept at a high level at all times

Management / Reporting Line

The Beauty Advisor (Skincare Specialist) will report to the Store Manager and/ or Assistant Store Manager

 

Candidate profile

  • Previous experience in a beauty therapy, retail skincare or beauty position is essential
  • Extensive knowledge of skincare and makeup products and application is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications in beauty therapy or cosmetology is advantageous
  • Proven sales success – meeting/exceeding KPI benchmarks, ability to link up and cross sell and close sales
  • Passionate retailer with a keen interest in beauty retailing and client service
  • Open availability to work rotating shifts across a 7 day a week roster.
  • Display aspirational grooming standards
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
